Aloft Passes Annual FAA LAANC Audit by Ernst & Young

As the drone industry continues to grow, so does the need for secure and efficient Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and fleet management systems. At Aloft, we take security seriously and prioritize it in our product development and processes. Our recent milestones of holding a SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 security audit, as well as passing the FAA LAANC audit with no exceptions, are a testament to our commitment to security.

The SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 security audits are internationally recognized standards for information security management. These audits evaluate a company’s security controls and processes, including physical security, logical security, data privacy, and risk management. At Aloft, we underwent rigorous audits to ensure that our security controls and processes met these standards.

Our commitment to security begins with our team. We have a dedicated security team that focuses on identifying and addressing potential security threats. Our team members have extensive experience in security and are trained to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats.

In addition to our team, we follow industry best practices and standards for security. We use secure coding practices and conduct regular code reviews to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities. We also conduct regular security testing to identify any potential weaknesses in our systems.

One of the key ways we ensure our products’ security is through our Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Our SDLC includes multiple stages of development, including design, development, testing, and deployment. At each stage, we conduct thorough security reviews and testing to ensure that our products are secure and meet industry standards.

When it comes to UTM and fleet management products, security is especially important. These systems must be able to securely manage and track a large number of drones and users and ensure that data is protected at all times. At Aloft, we use a multi-layered security approach that includes encryption, authentication, and access control to protect data and ensure that only authorized users have access to it.

We also work closely with regulatory agencies around the world, such as the FAA, to ensure that our products meet their security standards. The FAA’s LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability) program is designed to help manage airspace and ensure safe drone operations. By passing the LAANC audit with no exceptions, we have demonstrated that our products meet the FAA’s high-security standards.

In addition to our own security measures, we also work with our customers to ensure that their data is protected. Our SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and FAA security audits are available to our customers upon request so that they can evaluate our security controls and processes for themselves. We also provide ongoing security updates and training to our customers to help them stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats.

At Aloft, we understand the importance of security in the drone industry. We are committed to providing our customers with secure UTM and fleet management products that meet the highest security standards. Our recent milestones of holding a SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 security audit, as well as passing the FAA LAANC audit with no exceptions, are a testament to our commitment to security. We will continue to prioritize security in our product development and processes, so our customers can be confident in the security of their data and operations.
