Controlled airspace

Controlled airspace is Classes A, B, C, D, E airspace, which generally surrounds busier airspace nearby airports. Class G is considered “uncontrolled” airspace. Both commercial and recreational drone operators need authorization to fly in controlled airspace, and one way to do that is via a LAANC authorization from Kittyhawk.
