Monday, September 14th

On the first day of Commercial UAV Expo 2020, we will be publishing our Factors, Tactics, and Methods for Securing UAS Operations White Paper for free download on Tuesday, September 15th at 8 am PDT. This security white paper outlines how to: do a risk assessment of your organization, classify types of data, determine potential adversaries, assess your operating picture, operational security suggestions to help develop an effective security culture in your organization’s UAS program, and much more. Wednesday, September 16th
Join our team during a Power Hour session at our Commercial UAV Expo virtual booth to connect and learn more about new features on the Kittyhawk platform.
- From 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM PDT, Kittyhawk’s Solutions Architect, Eric Andelin will be hosting a live demo and Q&A session demonstrating our automated flight planning features.
- From 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM PDT, Kittyhawk’s CTO & Founder, Joshua Ziering will be hosting a Drone Security AMA for guidance on securing your enterprise drone program from data attacks, hacks, and gaps.
- From 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM PDT, Kittyhawk’s Director of Legal & Policy, Andrew Elefant will be discussing how to better understand your operational airspace, including special event TFRs, tactical BVLOS waivers, and more.
Thursday, September 17th
If you can’t make it to the Power Hours on Wednesday, don’t worry we have some great sessions planned for Thursday as well.
- From 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM PDT, Kittyhawk’s Customer Success Manager, Kevin Teen, Business Development Representative, James Hong, and Solutions Architect, Eric Andelin will be demonstrating our live streaming platform with a live Q&A session after the demo.
- From 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM PDT, Kittyhawk’s Solutions Architect, Eric Andelin and Senior Client Partner, Tom Bolich will be demonstrating how LAANC 4.0 brings new capabilities & opens more airspace.
- Lastly, from 2:15 PM- 3:15 PM PDT, join the Drone Industry Visionaries II session where Kittyhawk’s CTO & Founder, Joshua Ziering, and other industry expert panelists will be discussing visions for the future of the growing UAS industry.

Erica Cooley is Aloft’s Head of Community, she’s responsible for connecting with the expanding drone community to provide educational opportunities on how to leverage technology to fly with compliance and safety. Erica is an FAA-certified Part 107 Remote Pilot since 2017. Her passion for gender and diversity inclusion in the UAS industry is demonstrated as a proud member of Women and Drones & a brand ambassador for Women Who Drone. She is also an FAA Safety Team Representative in the Seattle, WA area. Erica received her BA from the University of Puget Sound in Communication Studies.
